Simple words
ACTH is a hormone from the pituitary that talks to the adrenal glands. A tiny middle piece of ACTH does not do the cortisol job. Russian labs (Ashmarin and colleagues) changed that piece and named it Semax. People use it for focus, not for tanning or weight.
What it is
A seven-amino-acid analog (Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro in the common form). Often a nasal spray in Russian clinic literature. Not FDA-approved in the US.
What researchers studied
Russian papers look at stroke, optic-nerve problems, and attention. Some human work exists in that literature. Western, large, placebo-controlled trials are not the same size as a GLP-1 program. Read the paper, not the Telegram caption.
