Tuftsin is a tiny natural peptide that talks to the immune system. Russian labs added a tail and named it Selank. People want calm without feeling knocked out. That is the claim. The papers are mostly Russian, some animal, some small human.
What it is
A seven-amino-acid analog of tuftsin. Often grouped with Semax because the same institutes published both. Different chain, different story.
What researchers studied
Anxiety-like behavior in animals. Some clinical papers on generalized anxiety in the Russian literature. Not a Xanax trial in the New England Journal of Medicine.
