Ipamorelin

A peptide. Five amino acids. Research only. Not a protocol.

Simple words

Ghrelin is the hunger peptide. It also asks the pituitary for growth hormone. Ipamorelin is a short lab chain that sticks to the same receptor (the ghrelin receptor) and asks for GH. In the original animal and human pharmacology work, it was pickier than older GHRPs — less cortisol, less hunger story than some cousins.

What it is

A pentapeptide. Often in the same box as CJC-1295 no DAC. That pairing is a shop habit: one chain talks GHRH, one talks ghrelin. Two different receptors, same gland.

What researchers studied

K. Raun and colleagues at Novo Nordisk described ipamorelin in 1998. In animals and in early human pharmacology, GH went up. They compared it with older GHRPs on cortisol and ACTH. The point of the paper was selectivity, not “sleep optimization.”

There is not a modern, huge outcome trial like STEP 1. Most of what you read on forums is not Raun 1998.

What this is not

Not MK-677. MK-677 is a pill that hits the same receptor family and is not a peptide. This page does not tell you how much to take.
