Glutathione

A peptide. Three amino acids. You already make it. Research only. Not a protocol.

Simple words

Glutamate, cysteine, glycine. Three beads. Almost every cell builds this. It hands electrons to messy leftover chemicals (oxidative stress) so they do less damage. Alton Meister mapped how the body makes and recycles it.

What it is

A tripeptide. Vials are often huge (1500 mg) because that is how shops label it. Swallowing glutathione is a poor way to raise it inside cells — the gut breaks it. IV and precursor stories (NAC) are a different argument than “this 1500 mg vial is the Meister pathway in a bottle.”

What researchers studied

A century of biochemistry. Liver, red blood cells, lungs. Disease papers when glutathione is low (some lung and liver conditions). That is not the same as a wellness drip.

What this is not

Not a weight peptide. Not a mystery. This page does not tell you how much to take.
